Dippy Luck was an unusual episode as it was actually 3 separate strips, but readers would only get to view one strip based off their IP address as a prank. When it was first released the comic was simply titled "Dippy Luck", which referred to the nature the comics were viewed in rather than the comics themselves, and a cryptic comment by Cubbage about only doing one comment. Readers whose IP addresses ended in 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 saw the continuation of Kleiner and Barney's story; readers whose IP addresses ended in 5, 6, 7 or 8 saw the continuation of Peter's story and readers whose IP addresses ended in 9 got to see the continuation of the Cactus' story. This prank was done to celebrate Co McPhee's birthday, however about two days later each comic instead given a separate page and readers would be able to see all three.

Cubbage Comment[]

Cubbage says Cubbage says: What's this? Oh no - no, no! I'm contracted to make ONE comment, and that's the way it's going to bally stay unless I see more money! By Jove!

Trivia[]

  • When all the comics were on the same page they were given special names in order to distinguish them from each other and prevent readers from easily accessing the other comics. The names used were those of Co's cats: Freda (Kleiner and Barney), Basil (Peter Orniphobe) and Nigel (Timothy).
