The /b/allad of Pear Chan details the story of a girl known as 'Beccabae' whose photos were uploaded to 4chan. Being very pretty, she naturally acquired a lot of fans - before uncropped photographs of her revealed the whole truth.

The song is split into two distinct movements, the first being largely synthetic apart from the bass and a little lead guitar, whereas the second is a jaunty guitar sing-a-long. Bridging the gap is a little solo guitar work.

There are many cases where the song is unable to be referred to by its proper title as the '/' symbol is unacceptable in filenames. In these cases, the '/' is omitted or replaced by another symbol.
